We were approached by a lady saying she had met a gentleman on a dating site called
“singlemuslims.com. Our client a GP from the South of England was in email contact with a gentleman who’s location was Dubai.
They emailed back and forth and within just a few weeks he said his business was in trouble and could she lend him £250,000. Remember at this stage they hadn’t met each other, she re-mortgaged two properties and sent the money to Dubai via her Santander account. Santander were so suspicious that they called the Police who visited our client. She explained that there was nothing to worry about and they left it at that.
Fraudster – Salman Wahla
Our client visited Dubai and found the gentleman living at the Burj Khalifa skyscraper, the tallest building in the world, annual rent was $36,000. As it turns out our client was paying his rent! Within weeks, yes you’ve guessed, the fraudster Salman Wahla requested more money. He made up about his cargo due into port had been hijacked by Pirates ! We wonder now if it was Captain Jack Sparrow? In total Mr. Salman Wahla was lent by our client £460,000. This man promised the earth, professed un dying love, was going to move to the UK but instead took advantage of a venerable highly intelligent women and stole her life savings. When we asked what car Salman Wahla drove we were told by our client that he couldn’t drive. However during our investigations he was photographed outside the Burj Khalifa in a black Lamborghini! Clearly yet another lie.  Our client remortgaged further properties to fund Salman Wahla. Took her children out of fee paying private schools just to survive following the theft by this man.
Dubai Police were notified but were not interested. This man has got away with in excess of £460,000 purports to live between Dubai and Monaco…………Beware
